About us
Established in 2001
TinniT Technologies GmbH was founded in 2001 as a spin-off from the Battelle Institute Frankfurt and focuses on numerical calculations, the prototyping of systems and the design of complex process engineering systems from the fields of renewable energies, biotechnology, chemical process engineering and automotive.
In addition to the focus on numerical calculations (CFD and FEM), TinniT designed and installed two geothermal heat exchangers in Spain for cooling inverters in a solar park in 2008. Furthermore, in 2010 TinniT installed a latent heat storage system, also for cooling inverters, in Spain.
Between 2009 and 2013, TinniT, in cooperation with partners, carried out two research projects on the subject of solar thermal energy generation using spacer fabrics (structural construction, polar structures) and on the subject of latent heat storage for hot water supply for single and multi-family houses for domestic use. The results achieved were presented at national and international conferences. The „Eisbaerauten“ project was awarded the Messe Frankfurt Innovation Prize at TechTextil 2013.
